👉 Why We Need You

The Threat Intel Analyst (L1) is responsible for monitoring, collecting, analyzing, and reporting on cyber threat intelligence relevant to the organization, its executives, VIPs, brands, assets, and operating environments. This role supports proactive detection of emerging cyber threats, impersonation risks, data exposure, fraud indicators, and targeted activity affecting senior stakeholders and high-risk individuals. The analyst will monitor open-source intelligence, dark web, social media, threat feeds, external attack surface indicators, and security tooling outputs to identify actionable intelligence and escalate relevant findings in accordance with defined procedures. The role requires strong analytical discipline, clear documentation, and the ability to coordinate with global security operations, incident response, executive protection, and business stakeholders.

👉 What You’ll Be Doing

• Monitorthreat intelligence sources, open-source intelligence, dark web sources, social media, data leak sites, threat feeds, and external attack surface indicators for risks relevant to the organization.

• ConductVIP intelligence monitoring for senior executives and other designated high-risk individuals, including impersonation, credential exposure, doxing, reputational threats, targeted phishing, and physical digital risk indicators.

• Collect, validate, and enrich indicators of compromise, threat actor activity, vulnerabilities, campaigns, and emerging tactics, techniques, and procedures relevant to the organization’s operating footprint.

• Prepare concise intelligence reports, alerts, watchlists, and situational updates for security operations, incident response, executive protection, and business stakeholders.

• Escalate credible threats, exposed credentials, impersonation attempts, brand abuse, or VIP-related intelligence findings to the appropriate internal teams according to defined playbooks and severity criteria.

• Support cyber threat investigations by correlating external intelligence with internal security telemetry, cases, alerts, and incident response activities.

• Maintain accurate records of intelligence collection, validation steps, analysis outcomes, escalations, and stakeholder communications for audit, reporting, and continuous improvement purposes.

• Maintain awareness of cyber threats affecting Malaysia, Southeast Asia, multinational organizations, senior executives, and sectors relevant to the organization’s business operations
  
  👉 What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelor’s degree or completed studies in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Intelligence Studies, International Relations, Criminology, or a related discipline.

• 2+yearsofexperience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, security operations, fraud monitoring, open source intelligence, investigations, or a related analytical role.

• Basic understanding of cyber threats, threat actors, phishing, malware, credential exposure, impersonation, data leakage, and social engineering techniques.

• Familiarity with OSINT techniques, threat intelligence platforms, SIEM tools, dark web monitoring, social media monitoring, or external attack surface monitoring concepts.

• Ability to assess information credibility, identify patterns, document findings clearly, and translate intelligence into actionable recommendations or escalation notes.

• Strong written and verbal English proficiency to support multinational stakeholders and prepare clear intelligence reporting.
  
  👉 Preferred Skills

• Professional certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, CEH, CySA+, GIAC Cyber Threat Intelligence, Microsoft security fundamentals, or equivalent entry-level cybersecurity or intelligence credentials.

• Experience supporting threat intelligence, SOC, fraud monitoring, brand protection, executive protection, investigations, or managed security service environments.

• Exposure to threat intelligence platforms, OSINT tools, dark web monitoring tools, social media intelligence platforms, phishing investigation tools, or digital risk protection platforms.

• Understanding of VIP monitoring use cases, including executive impersonation, credential leaks, targeted scams, online harassment indicators, physical-digital threat convergence, and reputational risk signals.

• Knowledgeofthe MITRE ATT&CKframework, cyber kill chain, threat actor profiling, indicator enrichment, and intelligence lifecycle concepts.

• Understanding of compliance-focused environments and the importance of documented analysis, control adherence, data handling discipline, and audit support.
